Indiana Fall Fun Guide: Get Outdoors!

Here’s your guide for family fun in Indiana, including festivals, haunted houses, pumpkin patches and more.

Riley Festival 2016October is the perfect month for outdoor fun in Indiana. With dozens of festivals, farms, music and celebrations to choose from, there’s definitely something for everyone.

Family Horizons is happy to be a part of the Riley Festival, one of the largest craft festivals in Indiana to be held October 6-9 in Greenfield. Enjoy over 460 exhibitors set up on the streets surrounding the city’s 100-year-old courthouse.

The annual festival celebrates the birth date of James Whitcomb Riley, also known as the “Hoosier Poet.” Bring the whole family and explore the designated areas for food, music, and commercial and flea market booths. You’ll also be able to enjoy Fine Arts, a Home Arts & Quilt Show, Photography, and Decorated Pumpkin shows. Be sure to stop by Riley Festival and see us in the Family Horizons booth.

Family Horizons will also be sponsoring the pet costume contest at the Irvington Halloween Festival October 22-29. Some of this year’s additional festival features include a scholarship pageant, Halloween-themed movies, storytelling, ghost tours, live theater, masquerade ball, a haunted puppet show and many other events.

In addition to the much-anticipated Riley Festival and Irvington Festival, there are plenty of other events going on around the state this month. Click on the websites below and start planning!
